My Golly Molly (speed score 96 +) won the G3 Langerman at Kenilworth, coming from dead last in the short Winter straight with a powerful closing burst to snare Hluhluwe (s/s 96) on the post. The highly impressive winner is sired by Fire Away, trained by Eric Sands, and was ridden with aplomb by Sean Veale.

Beach Bomb (s/s 86 +) won the juvenile Fillies’ version, the Irridescence Stakes, also over 1500m. She exhibited a potent turn of foot in deep stretch and blasted past the oppo to win by three clear lengths.

Love is a Rose took out the Final Fling Stakes over 1950m, but it was a close-run thing as Young Love nearly stole it from the front with a soft lead. The winner charged down the inside (where the best going was on a heavy track) and caught a drifting Young Love on the wire.

Earlier, Silver Falcon (s/s 102) continued his recent roll of strong form, completing a four- timer in the Cape A Sprint. He was all out though to stave off Wecangoallnight (s/s 101) and the dangerous inside move of Ragnar Lothbrok (s/s 101.) The talented runner up has missed narrowly the last thrice since being gelded and is well overdue a change of fortune.

Silver Falcon was one of five winners saddled by Justin Snaith. He also sent out Kwinta’s Light (s/s 97, has run 102) to score in the Olympic Duel Stakes over 1200m.

In closing, a quote for punters to ponder: “Once is chance; twice is coincidence; three times is a pattern.”
